Chapter 95: Leaving the wizard tower means temporarily turning back into a human being.
"I can get out of the tower..." Thor had the illusion that he was about to be released from prison.

He felt like he was flying into the sky like a balloon, but at the same time he was empty and unable to touch the ground.

He thought that he would only get the chance to leave the tower after he was promoted to level two.

If he wanted to increase his magic power to 50 joules, it would take him about half a year.

Unexpectedly, an invitation from Senior Byron would advance the time.

What task does Senior Byron need his assistance with?

He remembered that he had asked Senior Byron to help him find a more complete soul body. I don’t know if this invitation has anything to do with it.

"Are you leaving the tower?" Keli's voice sounded nearby.

"Yeah." Sol said with a smile on his lips.

"Ah, that's great, I just want to go out for a while."

Keli is already a second-level apprentice, so it's not surprising that she got the task of leaving the tower.

But this was also Keli's first time going out. Sol asked with concern, "Is it some dangerous mission?"

  Keli shook her head.

She lowered her eyes and said without emotion: "I just went to get some materials cultivated outside the tower and went home on the way."

She seemed not to want to mention it more, so she raised her head again and raised her voice slightly.

"Since it's your birthday, and I've received the good news that you can go out, let's go back and have cake to celebrate."

  Keli clasped Sol's shoulders again.

"Are you eating cake to celebrate your birthday? Can't you eat cake at any time? Or is this cake not what I understand?" Nick interjected curiously.

Since Nick was going out with Sol, Kelly thought about it and extended an invitation to Nick.

"Please come and taste it together. I just made it." She nodded.

"Of course it's a very special kind of cake!" Sol became more energetic now, and took the initiative to take Nick out without Keli pushing him.

"Senior, please don't be polite. I'll give you some of mine..."

The day of departure was postponed by one day due to some irresistible objective reasons.

Nick was still a little depressed when he took Sol out of the Wizard Tower in a car.

Sol, who had given most of the birthday cake to senior Nick, was leaning against the car window and looking out in high spirits.

They came out of the tower in a double-decker carriage. The carriage is small, and people can only lean on it and cannot lie down, so it is not particularly comfortable. But the carriage was very fast.

The chariots were driven by adult male slaves in the tower. Generally, those who live to this age have their own means of preserving life.

Along the way, the manservant only spoke when necessary, and usually tried his best to maintain a quiet and low presence. Both Sol and Nick just called him coachman, without even giving him a name.

Thor could feel the fear coming from him.

Just as nervous as he was when facing his mentor and tower master.

This is because the disparity in power levels creates a sense of threat that cannot be eliminated by courage alone.

Nick was still resting on the car seat, and Saul had no one to share the joy of being out of the "cage". He could only lean his upper body out of the window just like the first time he entered the city.

In April, the weather is a bit cool, but with the spring breeze, greenery has begun to cover the earth.

The connection between the wizard tower and the wasteland in the distance was also dyed from a single dark yellow to a new green.

Because the carriage was traveling so fast, some grass seeds and flying insects hit the walls of the wheels, leaving yellow-green traces.

Thor watched the green mountains and dense forests getting closer and closer to him, and even a few wild rats and rabbits would occasionally pop up around him.

After looking at the novel outside world for a while, Thor couldn't help but look back at the Wizard Tower.

The gray-black Wizard Tower stands alone on the plain, surrounded by empty space and silence, as if nothing will change after thousands of years.

Apart from the wizards' buildings, there wasn't even a tall bush around the wizard's tower.

It seems that even the plants are afraid of the Wizard Tower, keeping an absolute distance from the mysterious world there.

The carriage drove through the deserted wilderness for most of the day, and finally arrived at a populated village.

But the carriage did not stop, or even approach those villages, it just sped past them on the road next to them.

Those villages and towns are not prosperous, and there are still a lot of houses.

Saul saw that some people who were going out immediately knelt on the ground after seeing their carriage and did not get up for a long time.

Their clothes were simple and old-fashioned, but no one was seen half-dressed.

People in the outside world seem to be doing pretty well.

The darkness of the Wizard Tower did not invade the ordinary people around it. The latter can also enjoy the environmental dividends brought by the Wizard Tower.

Sol looked at it for a long time and finally retracted his head.

After looking at the scenery for a long time, he always felt like an outsider, and it was not as relaxing as he imagined.

It was as if the chain from the wizard's tower was still firmly tied around his neck.

When Sol sat back in the carriage in despair, he discovered that Senior Nick had regained his energy and started reading a book.

  Thor: "..."

Okay, he thought for a moment, picked up his heavy backpack, put aside the various props and potions he had prepared, chose a less sensitive book, and started reading.

They traveled for five days, only stopping to rest in the middle of the night. Even sleeping was replaced by meditation.

It feels like an ascetic monk.

During the day on the sixth day, Thor raised his head from the books he was shaking, closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Senior Nick, do you know where we are going?"

"Go to Mobian City on the border of the Kema Principality, meet up with Byron first, and then...most likely go to Chuishou Valley. But before that, I have to make a detour to do a small mission to earn some credits." Nick read from the

book Zhong raised his head and blinked at Saul, "It's a rare trip. I still have plenty of time, so I can't go in vain."

While the two were talking, the carriage suddenly stopped and shook the two of them.

"Are you here?" Saul quickly looked outside, but only saw a field of farmland and a gentle hillside.

  There are no towns around.

At the foot of the hillside not far away, there was a group of dozens of people, riding horses, standing quietly.

Someone in the team was holding a flag with a blue background and silver border. In the center of the flag was a very abstract drawing of a rabbit holding a snake in its mouth.

Nick suddenly put away the book in his hand and ducked out of the carriage.

Among the people and horses on the opposite side, a tall middle-aged man ran over.

He wore the same navy blue and silver light cloth armor, with metal armor only sewn on his vital parts. He had a long sword hanging on his waist and jumped off his horse when he came about ten meters in front of Nick.

Saul saw the man walking up to Nick, kneeling on one knee and performing a chest-stroking salute.

Nick raised his hand to make people stand up, his movements were as graceful as a prince's.

The two turned their backs to Thor and began to talk in low voices.

Because of the distance, Sol couldn't hear what the two talked about specifically. It can only be seen that the middle-aged man has always been respectful, but Nick still has no emotion.

After a while, Nick came back but didn't get into the carriage.

"There's something going on with the family, and I need to go there. I'm afraid you have to walk on your own on the way to Mobian City."

Sol asked in surprise: "What about the mission from Senior Byron?"

Nick blinked. His eyes and corners of his mouth were tense, "I can finish things quickly. If I dare to go to Mobian City from there, I won't be late. But..."

Sol suddenly felt that this turn of events was not good.

Sure enough, I heard Nick continue, "I can only ask you to run the small mission I took on. I will transfer the mission credits to you."

   First update!
