Chapter 208: Chanting (please vote for recommendation on Monday)
The eastern sky is white.
Fang Farewell to Heiwu, Xue Lingsheng and Jun Qian, all four of them dressed as passers-by, parted ways at the entrance of Xiaohun Inn. He Ping and Duanwu stood there, watching the four of them go further and further away, until they disappeared from sight, then they turned around and pressed the button Leaving on Duanwu's shoulder.
Back at the inn, He Ping took a piece of sweet-scented osmanthus cake for Duan Wu and put it in his hand. Duan Wu looked up at He Ping: "Sister Ping, don't you want to eat it?"
He Ping smiled and shook her head.
"Then they will be fine this time, right?" He Ping continued to shake her head.
Duanwu nodded. He opened his mouth and took a bite of the sweet-scented osmanthus cake. It was sweet and delicious, soft and chewy, and the rich scent of sweet-scented osmanthus filled his mouth.
"It's delicious." Duanwu said.
"It's delicious. There's still more left after eating it." He Ping smiled: "But I asked you to take care of Ningxia these two days. How is she doing?" "
As for Sister Ningxia." Dragon Boat Festival took another bite of the sweet-scented osmanthus cake: "How is she doing these two days?" I've been sleeping all day, neither eating nor drinking, and I've never woken up." "
Although my breathing, pulse and other sensations are fine, I'm always afraid that Sister Ningxia won't wake up." "
Are you afraid?" He Ping continued to ask .
Duanwu nodded.
"Why are you afraid?" He Ping continued to ask.
This simple question makes the Dragon Boat Festival a bit difficult.
"Just afraid." Duanwu couldn't explain why he was afraid.
He Ping couldn't help but laugh: "Do you want Sister Ningxia to wake up?"
Duanwu nodded heavily: "Yes."
"If you want, then I have a way." He Ping said quietly.
"What can I do?" Duanwu couldn't help but ask.
"Recite sutras." He Ping said these two words with a smile.
"Recite sutras?" Duan Wu was a little surprised: "But I can't." "
When you believe you can recite sutras, you will recite sutras." He Ping stood up and rubbed Duan Wu's head.
"If you have this idea, then give it a try."
Duanwu looked at He Ping's back and nodded thoughtfully.
...
...
The young man was wearing a small skirt and walking on the stairs of the inn. The stairs were made of thick wooden boards and spiraled upward.
The boy's twin ponytails swayed subtly in the air.
Dragon Boat Festival came to the door of the room where Ning Xia was sleeping. He knew that Ning Xia was the only one in the door.
Pushing the door open, the door shaft made a dull creaking sound.
Duanwu walked in slowly and saw Ningxia still sleeping on the bed. This woman's beauty could almost rank first among the people Duanwu knew. However, her eyes were closed now, her eyelashes were long, and only her nose was slightly fluttering. And full of coordination like a sleeping beauty.
Dragon Boat Festival sat in front of Ningxia honestly.
In the past two days, Fang never asked Duanwu to take care of Ningxia, but in fact, even Duanwu didn't know how to take care of her.
Ning Xia had never woken up at all. Without waking up, there was no need to eat or drink. Dragon Boat Festival did not even see the terrible injuries on Ning Xia's back with his own eyes, because from the time he arrived here, Ning Xia's back was tied up with thick straps. White bandage.
But sometimes, bandages can actually inspire compassion in others.
Chanting sutras?
Duanwu recalled the two words He Ping said.
He has never read a sutra, so how can he recite sutras?
"Do I really know how to recite sutras?" Duanwu asked himself, but then, a sutra jumped into his mind without any warning.
"These living beings have no appearance of self, appearance of human beings, appearance of sentient beings, or appearance of living beings. They have no appearance, and no appearance of lawlessness." Duanwu recited this verse in Chinese without any hindrance, fluently and without thinking.
"Is this?" Duanwu asked in surprise.
At that time, he said that he could not recite sutras, but He Ping laughed and said that when he believed that he could recite sutras, then he would naturally recite sutras.
But now, when I want to recite sutras, these sutras just come out of my mouth. I don’t know how many times I have recited them.
"This is the Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra?" When Duanwu recalled it, even the name of the sutra jumped into his mind.
"So I heard: At one time, the Buddha was in the Solitary Garden of Savatti, together with a group of 1,250 great bhikkhus. At that time, while the World Honored One was eating, he put on his clothes and held an alms bowl, and went to the great city of Savatthi to beg for food. After begging in the city, he returned to his home. After eating, he collected his clothes and bowl, washed his feet, and sat down."
When he was sure that he could recite the sutra, the entire Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra had completely emerged in Duanwu's mind, and he Just find the beginning of the verse and you can recite it very smoothly.
The Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra has a total of 5,130 words, which is the translation of Kumarajiva, a great Buddhist master. During the Dragon Boat Festival, recite it from the first word until the 5,153th word. When he recited the words, there was still no trace of fallacy. His voice echoed throughout the room, each word carrying subtle Buddhist principles, and he continued to recite it until the last sentence of the Diamond Sutra.
"All conditioned dharmas are like dreams and bubbles, like dew or lightning, so we should observe them like this." "
The Buddha has said this sutra, Elder Subhuti, and all bhikkhus, bhikshunis, Upasakas, and Upasikas, all gods and humans in the world. , Asuras, everyone is very happy after hearing what the Buddha said, and they believe in it and practice it."
At these two sentences, Duanwu woke up from the state of enlightenment. When he opened his eyes, he only felt that the room was full of fragrance, and he didn't know From where.
When he looked at Ning Xia again, he found that Ning Xia's eyelids began to blink slightly. Although she was not awake, her breathing and pulse were much stronger than before.
Duanwu was overjoyed and wanted to wake Ningxia up, but after thinking about it, he decided to continue chanting.
"Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, walking deep in the Prajna Paramita for a long time, sees that the five aggregates are empty, and survives all hardships."
This time the Dragon Boat Festival chose the "Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra" personally translated by the eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty. This Heart Sutra is a great heart sutra. The heart of the Prajna Sutra, all the essence of Prajna is found in this sutra, so it is called the Heart Sutra. It is simple but rich in meaning, with few words but profound purpose. It can be ranked as one of the most important short Heart Sutras in Buddhism along with the Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra. .
And the whole text only has 260 words, and it takes less than half a stick of incense to recite it once.
"Relics, color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and the same is true for feelings, thoughts, and consciousness." ... "
So
the Prajnaparamita mantra is said, that is, the mantra is: uncover the truth, uncover the truth, paramita. The truth is revealed by Bodhisattva and Bodhisattva."
Once he chanted the sutra during the Dragon Boat Festival, his whole body entered a state of enlightenment and emptiness. Fine sweat broke out all over his body, and then evaporated in the air. These sweat beads seemed to contain Flowers with exotic fragrances, like the sweetest flowers and fruits, reveal their sweet taste and fill the entire room.
And when the Dragon Boat Festival came to the last sentence, Ningxia just heard a soft moan and immediately opened her eyes.
"Where is this?"
Ning Xia said softly.
PS: Although this chapter is very enjoyable to copy from scriptures, it actually took almost two hours to write.
I'll ask for recommendation votes on Monday, and I'll guarantee two updates today. There may be a third update, but I'm not sure.
